I am thankful that my ancestors settled here in the late 1700's. The earliest ones had names like Gott, Norwood, Hadley, Richardson, Murphy, and Dow. I am thankful to have a big and rambling Victorian house that Angus built, Angus MacDonald, the first Congregational minister in the village. Here I taught school, raised three children, and welcomed guests to the Island in the Yankee Lady Inn.
