Play golf at Kebo Valley, one of the oldest courses in the US.

Take a bus or trolley tour of the surrounding area and the park itself.

Tour one of three Micro-breweries and sample some award winning ales.

Bar Harbor has many special activities during the season.

Check out our Events Calendar to see what is happening during your stay or visit the Chamber of Commerce calendar for more information as well.

Acadia National Park

You are in the heart of Acadia National Park, the crown jewel of Maine. You can hike on one of the many miles of trails, maybe to the top of Cadillac Mountain and be the first in the country to see the sun rise that day; or bike on the more than 50 miles of carriage roads built by John D. Rockefeller and dedicated to bikers, horseback riders & walkers.

Enjoy Ranger-Led Programs from late May through early October. The average visitor spends three to four days in the area, although you easily could fill a week with activities in the park and nearby attractions. The diverse environments of Acadia National Park offer activities to suit every interest. Whether you are feeling adventurous and want to hike a mountain summit or would rather sit back and explore the park from the comfort of free Island Explorer buses, you can do it in Acadia.
