Getting here for your vacation!

Driving:

From Boston (about 270 miles) or Portland (about 175 miles) follow I-95 and I-295 through to Bangor (exit 45-A / I-395), then take Route 1A to Ellsworth, and follow Route 3 to Bar Harbor.

A second option would be to take I-95 to Augusta, take Route 3 to Belfast over to Route 1 to Ellsworth, then back to Route 3 into Bar Harbor.

A third option is to take the Coastal Route 1 up to Route 3 at Belfast, and then to Route 1 to Ellsworth, then back to Route 3 into Bar Harbor.

Allow some time to enjoy the scenery in the summer it can get busy!
